Securitas USA is hiring a Security Officer for a full-time day shift at our Peoria site in Illinois. The role involves patrolling premises, monitoring systems, controlling access, and responding to emergencies to maintain a safe, secure environment.

No prior security experience is required, and training is provided. You will be part of a team protecting people and assets while upholding safety protocols and company policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to work independently and provide excellent customer service.
• Strong observational skills and clear communication abilities.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and make quick, effective judgments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of premises including buildings, parking lots, & entry points to identify potential security risks.
• Monitor and operate surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and security equipment.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and clear driving record required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Prior Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience a plus!!
• Must be able to work independently and provide excellent customer service.
• Must have the ability to remain calm under pressure and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgement and use appropriate escalation.
• Must have strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and quick decision-making capabilities.
