Securitas USA is hiring a Security Officer for a full-time, on-site role at Peoria, IL. The position pays $18.00 per hour and includes day-shift scheduling.

You will protect people, property, and assets by patrolling, monitoring systems, controlling access, and responding to emergencies to maintain a safe environment. Responsibilities include supervising access points, patrolling premises, monitoring surveillance equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Above average computer/technology skills.
• Prior Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and provide excellent customer service.
• Calm under pressure and vigilant during shift.
• Respond effectively to emergencies with good judgment.
• Strong observational and communication abilities.
• Willing to undergo pre-employment screening including drug test and background check.

The Security Officer protects people, property, and assets by patrolling premises, monitoring systems, controlling access, and responding to emergencies to maintain a safe and secure environment. They serve as a helpful professional resource while ensuring everyone on the property follows safety protocols.

• Must have the ability to remain calm under pressure and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgement and use appropriate escalation.
• Must have strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and quick decision-making capabilities.
