Job summary

Securitas, Inc. is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time daytime shift at our Bloomington, IL site. The role protects people, property, and assets by patrolling, monitoring systems, managing access, and responding to emergencies to maintain a safe environment.

You will support policy compliance, de-escalate conflicts, and operate surveillance and security equipment. Candidates should have high school education, a valid driver's license, and strong customer-service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Above average computer / technology skills.
• Prior Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience a plus.
• Must work independently and provide excellent customer service.
• Remain calm under pressure and vigilant during shifts.

Security Officer — Full Time

Site Location: Bloomington, IL

Wage: $19.50/HR

Schedule: Day / 1st shift

The Security Officer protects people, property, and assets by patrolling premises, monitoring systems, controlling access, and responding to emergencies to maintain a safe and secure environment. They serve as a helpful professional resource while ensuring everyone on the property follows safety protocols.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and clear driving record required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Prior Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience a plus!!
• Must be able to work independently and provide excellent customer service.
• Must have the ability to remain calm under pressure and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgement and use appropriate escalation.
• Must have strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and quick decision-making capabilities.
