Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Customer Engagement in Boston, MA. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence, support access control, and provide professional customer service to visitors and staff.

Minimum requirements include 2 years of security-related experience and a high school diploma or equivalent; background check and drug screen will be conducted. CPR preferred; 18+ for unarmed roles (21+ for armed).

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a financial services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including office spaces, parking areas, entrances, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required by site procedures, and report unauthorized access or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and documenting relevant details.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence that helps to deter unwanted activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
