Job summary

Allied Universal in Eden, NC is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to protect clients across various industries. You will monitor entry points, verify authorized access, and help maintain a welcoming environment for shoppers, employees, and visitors.

You will use computer or tablet systems to document activity and support security-related operations. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 18+ years of age for unarmed roles, and the ability to pass a background check

Pay Rate: $13.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Tue: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sun: 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to retail location employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access‑control policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, authorizing entry in accordance with site procedures, and maintaining visitor and contractor logs.
• Respond to access‑control concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity and report security‑related concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of access activity, incidents, and shift observations while communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
