As a Security Officer Credential Access in West Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor badge activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will help identify and report security-related concerns while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. Pay Rate: $17.51 / Hour

• Mon 01:45 PM - 09:45 PM
• Tue 01:45 PM - 09:45 PM
• Wed 01:45 PM - 09:45 PM
• Sat 01:45 PM - 09:45 PM

What You\'ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and manage access control points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes as directed, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, common areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual conditions.
• Support a professional, welcoming environment while following Allied Universal and site-specific reporting, communication, and confidentiality requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
