Allied Universal in Stamford, CT is seeking a part-time Security Officer for a corporate insurance campus. The role supports a financial institution location, delivering security services, welcoming staff and visitors, and maintaining a safe environment.

You will perform patrols, respond to incidents, and report activities with integrity while upholding site policies and customer service standards. This is a part-time hourly position with a pay rate of $22.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• 1 year of security-related experience or more.
• Age requirement: 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check conducted as required by law.
• Drug screening required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, entrances, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor and employee activity, reporting suspicious conditions, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, patrols, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
