Job Description

As a Security Officer - Clinic Patrol in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a respectful environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This driving post requires a valid driver's license. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting sensitive areas, including the morgue. Due to the safety sensitive nature of this role, qualified candidates must be able to submit to drug screening to the extent permissible by law. This assignment is in a healthcare facility. As such, a tuberculosis (TB) test and certain vaccinations may be required.

What You'll Do:

• Assist hospital staff with de-escalation of situations involving patients; restrain combative individuals as necessary (within company and customer guidelines)

• Transport deceased patients to the morgue, as needed

• Assist in escorting patients from helicopter pad (high elevation) to the emergency room

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while communicating with appropriate site personnel and first responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management in accordance with site procedures, reporting unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for incidents, patrols, and other security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Ability to work in a hospital morgue is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
