Job summary

Allied Universal® is hiring a Cleared Security Officer (Unarmed) to protect personnel, property and information at a Salt Lake City area site. This temporary role (1–6 months) requires an active DoD clearance and prior security experience on a cleared site or military service, with a pay rate of $24.88 per hour.

Responsibilities include patrols, guest escorts, following post orders, and acting as first responder in emergencies.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Must possess a Department of Defense (DoD) position appropriate level security clearance.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Must possess one or more of the following: minimum of three (3) years of security experience on a DoD-cleared site; prior military experience.
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Intermediate computer skills to operate wireless technology at client sites.

• Respond to and assess security alarms or emergency alarms.
• Act as a first responder in emergency situations.

This is a Temporary position for 1-6 months ONLY

Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Officer - Cleared (Clearance Required - Unarmed). At Allied Universal, a Cleared Security Officer is entrusted with sensitive information and given the responsibility to protect classified information and personnel. As a Cleared Security Officer, you'll receive specialized training in site-specific security protocols associated with your clearance level, allowing for skill development and professional growth in the security field.

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• Must possess a Department of Defense (DoD) position appropriate level security clearance (national security eligibility determinations take into account a person's stability, trustworthiness, reliability, discretion, character, honesty, and judgment)
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• Must possess one or more of the following:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of security experience on a Department of Defense-cleared site
  • Prior military experience
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

• Prior law enforcement or armed security experience
• Associate's degree or higher In Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field
