Allied Universal is hiring an Armed Cleared Security Officer in East Hartford, CT. This full-time position requires DoD clearance eligibility and a valid CT pistol permit.

We operate on a night schedule from 10pm to 6am or 12am to 8am, with opportunities to grow through training and career progression. You will protect personnel, property, and information at a DoD-cleared site, perform patrols on foot or vehicle, greet visitors, and respond to alarms.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Must be able to obtain a DoD security clearance.
• Must be 21+ and meet licensing requirements per state/local laws.
• Three years of security experience on a DoD-cleared site or prior military.
• Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Intermediate computer skills to operate wireless technology at client sites.

• Greet guests and escort visitors and contractors to secure entry/exit points.

Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Officer - Cleared (Clearance Eligible - Armed). At Allied Universal, an Armed Cleared Security Officer is entrusted with sensitive information and given the responsibility to protect classified information and personnel. As an Armed Cleared Security Officer, you'll receive specialized training in site-specific security protocols associated with your clearance level, allowing for skill development and professional growth in the security field.

Full Time available at a DOD Cleared site for Armed Officers in East Hartford CT Must have a valid CT Pistol Permit and must be able to obtain Blue Card Certification. All days available 10pm - 6am & 12am - 8am $32 / hour

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information with professionalism
• Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure the protection of people, assets, and sensitive or classified information
• Greet guests and employees and escorts visitors and contractors to secure entry and exit points
• Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders; reporting safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and oral communication to client and/or other security personnel
• Respond to and assesses security alarms or emergency alarms
• Act as a first responder in emergency situations

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• Able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) position appropriate level security clearance (national security eligibility determinations take into account a person's stability, trustworthiness, reliability, discretion, character, honesty, and judgment)
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• Must possess one or more of the following:
• Minimum of three (3) years of security experience on a Department of Defense-cleared site
• Prior military experience
• Minimum of 21 years of age (or higher if required by the state)
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

• Prior law enforcement or armed security experience
• Associate's degree or higher In Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field
