Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Cleared Security Officer - Unarmed in Texas. The role pays $24.25 per hour and requires an active DoD security clearance and a valid driver’s license. Shift patterns include nights, with Wednesday-Sunday, or other evening/weekend blocks.

The officer will patrol facilities, greet visitors, and uphold client site security standards. The position emphasizes protecting sensitive information and personnel, with training on site-specific security protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 5 years verifiable experience.
• Able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.
• Minimum 3 years of security experience on a DoD-cleared site or prior military experience.
• Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience operating wireless technology at client sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality security services safeguarding personnel, property, and information.
• Conduct patrols on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to protect people, assets, and classified information.
• Greet guests and escort visitors and contractors to secure entry/exit points.
• Follow site manuals and post orders; report safety concerns and security breaches.
• Respond to alarms and act as a first responder in emergencies.

Pay Rate Start $24.25 / Hour

Must have an active DoD Security Clearance

Must have a valid Drivers License for more than 1 year

Schedule: Wednesday - Sunday 11:00 pm - 7:00 am

Saturday - Wednesday 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm / 11:00 pm - 7:00pm

Thursday - Sunday 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm / 11:00 pm - 7:00 pm

At Allied Universal, a Cleared Security Officer is entrusted with sensitive information and given the responsibility to protect classified information and personnel. As a Cleared Security Officer, you’ll receive specialized training in site‑specific security protocols associated with your clearance level, allowing for skill development and professional growth in the security field.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information with professionalism
• Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure the protection of people, assets, and sensitive or classified information
• Greet guests and employees and escorts visitors and contractors to secure entry and exit points
• Follow site‑specific performance manuals and post orders; reporting safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and oral communication to client and/or other security personnel
• Respond to and assesses security alarms or emergency alarms
• Act as a first responder in emergency situations

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
• Able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) position appropriate level security clearance (national security eligibility determinations take into account a person's stability, trustworthiness, reliability, discretion, character, honesty, and judgment)
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• Must possess one or more of the following:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of security experience on a Department of Defense-cleared site
  • Prior military experience
• Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

• Prior law enforcement or armed security experience
• Associate's degree or higher In Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field
