Allied Universal in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer with DoD Secret Clearance. You will staff the front desk, verify credentials, manage access, and deliver exceptional customer service in an aerospace/defense environment.

The role requires at least 1 year of security experience, adherence to background checks and drug screening, and compliance with licensing and age requirements.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by law.
• Background history considered per laws.
• Drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply before employment.
• Driver's license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests while enforcing site-specific security procedures and access-control policies at an aerospace/defense location.
• Staff the front desk by greeting and screening visitors, verifying IDs, issuing visitor credentials, and keeping logs.
• Monitor calls, emails, alarms, and other communications; route inquiries to appropriate personnel and escalate concerns.
• Respond to incidents and security concerns calmly and according to emergency protocols.
• Report unusual activity and policy violations to leadership and site management.

What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and access-control policies at an aerospace and defense location.

• Staff the front desk by greeting and screening visitors, verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining accurate visitor logs.

• Monitor incoming calls, emails, alarms, and other communications; direct inquiries to appropriate personnel and elevate concerns according to established procedures.

• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific emergency response protocols.

• Maintain awareness of front-desk activity and report unusual conditions, policy violations, and security-related concerns to Allied Universal leadership and/or site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.

• Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
