Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Clearance Required Patrol in Aurora, CO. You will monitor and patrol interior and exterior areas, verify credentials, respond to incidents, and deliver excellent customer service.

Requirements include an active DoD Secret clearance, high school diploma or equivalent, and willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen. This is a full-time, hourly position with pay rate of $28.14 per hour.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior work areas, exterior grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter boundaries.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor credentials, and maintain visitor, incident, and patrol documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations following emergency procedures and notify appropriate personnel.
• Report security-related concerns and policy violations to site leadership.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or guests at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior work areas, exterior grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter boundaries to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor credentials as required, and maintain accurate visitor, incident, and patrol documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Report security-related concerns, facility irregularities, and policy violations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• An active DoD Secret clearance is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
