Allied Universal®, North America’s leading security and facility services company, invites you to join as a Security Officer Checkpoint Screening in Grand Rapids, MI. This Part-Time position offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to explore new roles via our Claim a Shift platform.

You will screen individuals, packages, and vehicles, provide excellent customer service, monitor access points, and report security concerns.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals, packages, and vehicles entering or leaving the distribution location in accordance with established screening procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and shipping-related documentation, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure, welcoming environment by screening individuals and/or materials, monitoring assigned areas, and reporting security-related concerns. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.43 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
