Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and building operations; maintain logs and incident reports.
• Respond to incidents calmly and coordinate with management and responders.
• Conduct regular patrols of interiors, common areas, loading docks, parking facilities, and perimeters.
• Address policy violations and report maintenance concerns; assist occupants and guests.

As a Security Officer - Business Complex, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.57 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue – 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and building operations; maintain accurate logs and reports of incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with property management, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building interiors, common areas, loading docks, parking facilities, and perimeter areas, as assigned.
• Help maintain an orderly professional environment by addressing policy violations, reporting maintenance concerns, and providing directions or assistance to occupants and guests.

Minimum Requirements:

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
