Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer – Building Access Control in Irvine, CA. You will greet visitors, verify credentials, issue badges, monitor entry activity, and maintain a professional front desk presence at a financial institution site.

You will rely on your customer service experience and access-control know-how to deter incidents while delivering courteous service. A guard card or license is preferred; applicants must be 18+ (21+ for armed) and pass background checks

What You\'ll Do:

• Provide exceptional front desk customer service by greeting visitors, employees, and vendors in a professional manner while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Monitor access to the financial institution location by verifying visitor credentials, issuing visitor badges, maintaining visitor records, and directing guests according to established protocols.
• Answer and route incoming calls, receive deliveries, and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel while maintaining a professional front desk presence.
• Monitor security-related systems, report unusual activity or facility concerns, and respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Maintain accurate daily activity logs and communicate observations, access concerns, and incident details to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
