MGM Resorts International in Biloxi, Mississippi is seeking a Day Shift Security Officer to help keep the property safe and welcoming. You will patrol, monitor cameras, assist guests and team members, and respond to incidents with professionalism and care.

The role requires a Driver’s License, 1+ years of customer service experience, and a high school diploma or GED. You’ll work full-time 40 hours weekly, 7:15am–3:15pm, with flexibility for weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and monitor all areas of the property by bike or company vehicle.
• Monitor alarm systems and surveillance cameras.
• Provide excellent guest service and resolve issues involving guests and employees.
• Act as a first responder in emergency situations.
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities.
• Relay information to appropriate personnel via phones or radios.
• Secure scene and assist in evacuations during emergencies.
• Attend and pass recurring mandatory training (legal, defensive, first aid, CPR/AED).

THE JOB:

As a day shift Security Officer, you will help ensure our property remains a safe and welcoming environment for every guest and team member. From proactive patrols to providing assistance with professionalism and care, you’ll play a key role in delivering the kind of service that sets MGM Resorts apart. THE STARTING RATE:

$17.75 an hour

THE SCHEDULE:

• Day Shift | Full Time (40 hours)
• 7:15am - 3:15pm
• Must be open and flexible to work outside of the primary schedule, including varied shifts, weekends, and holidays

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Patrol and monitor all areas of the property, including the exterior by operating a bicycle or company vehicle
• Monitor alarm system and surveillance cameras
• Provide excellent guest service to guests and employees and resolve complaints and issues involving both guests and employees
• Act as a first responder in emergency situations
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as property damage, theft, guest or employee accidents, or unusual occurrences
• Act as a dispatcher to relay information, messages and/or emergencies to or from appropriate personnel using telephones or two-way radios
• Assist in emergency situations by securing the scene to prevent further loss or damage, advise personnel of threats and potential threats, summon emergency responders to the incident, and initiate and conduct evacuation procedures
• Required to successfully attend and pass all recurring mandatory legal, defensive tactics, first aid, CPR/AED training/drill as a condition of employment

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Obtains a Driver’s License as required
• Demonstrates 1+ years of customer service experience
• Holds a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
