Allied Universal in New York, NY is seeking a Part Time Security Officer - Bank Foot Patrol to safeguard clients at a financial institution. You will provide front-line protection, monitor access, and respond to incidents while delivering professional customer service.

Qualifications

• Holder of valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Minimum one year of security-related experience.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Age requirements: 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and report/escalate as required.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking areas, offices, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify authorized entry and maintain logs.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and law enforcement as needed.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking areas, offices, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
