Allied Universal in Bronx, NY seeks a part-time Security Officer for a bank branch. You will provide customer service, enforce site policies, and respond to incidents with calm professionalism.

The role offers fixed anchor Saturday shift 8:45 AM to 2:15 PM, with opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform. Minimum 1 year security experience and a high school diploma are required; CPR preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws; may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner per escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, documenting accordingly and engaging with site leadership as needed.
• Complete activity and shift reports and communicate information to site leadership.

Security Officer - Bank Branch in Bronx, NY

Pay Rate:

$20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 08:45 AM - 02:15 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.


• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site policies, maintaining professional interactions and accurate documentation as required.


• Complete required activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and incoming personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security‑related experience.


• CPR certification is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
