Security Officer – Bank Anchor Flex (Phoenix, AZ)

Pay Rate: $22.62 / Hour

Job Schedule

Mon: 08:45 AM – 05:15 PM (you may pick up additional shifts for extra earnings).

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): you will be hired for a designated site with a six‑month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: pick up extra shifts through the scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner while documenting observations and following site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by observing visitor activity, verifying credentials when required, and reporting suspicious behavior or policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
• Support day‑to‑day operations by communicating with staff and visitors, maintaining visible presence throughout assigned areas, and completing required reports related to security‑related activities.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security‑related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
