Allied Universal in Sparks, NV is seeking a part‑time Security Officer with badge verification responsibilities at a technology data center. You will provide frontline security, monitor access and patrol assigned areas, while delivering professional customer service and maintaining a visible presence.

The role offers flexible overnight shifts (Wed-Fri, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM) and opportunities to grow within a respected security services leader.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Guard Card, CPR/First Aid preferred.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors at a technology data center by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of the data center campus and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials, and direct authorized personnel per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and follow escalation procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, and security-related activities in required reports and logs.

Pay Rate: $25.21 / Hour

Job Schedule: Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM, Thur 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM, Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors at a technology data center by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the data center campus, buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and security-related systems; verify credentials and direct authorized personnel in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations and follow established escalation procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, and security-related activities accurately in required reports and logs.

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
