Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Badge Verification in Gadsden, AL to safeguard client facilities across industries. You will verify credentials, control access, monitor entry points, and maintain accurate logs while delivering professional service and teamwork.

As a Full Time role, you will work daytime to evening shifts including weekends. A guard card or license is preferred; high school diploma required; background check and drug screen per law.

• Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying identification, credentials, visitor authorization, and contractor or delivery access in accordance with site policies.
• Maintain accurate access-control records, including visitor logs, badge issuance, key control, and entry or exit activity, while communicating irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, parking areas, production-adjacent exterior areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Badge Verification in Gadsden, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor and badge access, and using computer or tablet systems. You will remain visible, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and help deter security-related incidents through reliable service and teamwork. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
