Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Vanceboro, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional communication and customer service. Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, visitors, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, perimeter areas, and/or parking locations at a government corrections location.
• Monitor activity, observe for unusual conditions, and report security-related concerns, policy violations, hazards, and/or suspicious activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and direction from authorized personnel.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, patrol logs, incident documentation, and/or other required records while complying with applicable laws, policies, and Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least six months of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
