Job summary

Security Services Northwest is hiring a Security Guard-WA in Bellingham, WA. This casual position offers an hourly wage of $24.00–$30.00 with unarmed and armed roles available, plus benefits and overtime opportunities.

You will patrol, monitor, control access, and report incidents while representing SSNW. Responsibilities include deterrence, responding to incidents, and coordinating with law enforcement as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have a clean criminal and driving record.
• 2-4 years of combined experience (Military, Law Enforcement, and/or Security) preferred.
• Must have, or be able to obtain a Security Guard license in Washington State.
• Smart phone to access the apps we use for scheduling, clocking in/out, and reporting.
• Reliable transportation.
• Honesty and Integrity.
• Able to work non-traditional hours including swings, graveyard, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to react appropriately in high stress situations.

Responsibilities

• Act as a visual deterrent to prevent theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire, and accidents.
• Monitor activities.
• Access Control.
• Safety escorts.
• Using provided communication devices.
• Represent SSNW’s brand.
• Properly wear the issued uniform.
• Complete Daily Activity Reports (DAR).
• Complete Incident Reports.
• Work with local law enforcement, and emergency services.
• Provide friendly assistance to customers, employees and visitors following the department's procedures.
• Other duties as described in the Post Orders.
