Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Armed Rover Patrol in Washington, DC for a part-time role. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by following post orders and procedures.
• Carry and maintain assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with policies and licensing.
• Respond to incidents calmly and coordinate with public agencies and responders.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of facilities, platforms, entrances and perimeter areas.
• Control access points, monitor alarms and surveillance systems, and complete incident reports.

You will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence, monitor activity, respond to calls for service, and document observations. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by following post orders, location-specific procedures, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Carry and maintain assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, applicable licensing requirements, and post instructions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with public agency personnel and/or first responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, platforms, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Control access points, monitor alarms and/or surveillance systems as assigned, and complete timely incident reports and activity logs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have one or more years of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
