Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Armed Response Driver in Boston, MA. You will provide customer service, conduct armed patrols, and respond to incidents at a financial institution location.

The role requires a valid concealed carry permit, driver’s license, and a background check. Schedule is overnight, full-time, with a pay rate of $25.00 per hour. Allied Universal offers growth, benefits, and a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• A valid concealed carry weapons permit is required.
• Be subject to a background investigation as per laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders as needed.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid concealed carry weapons permit is required.
• At least one year of law enforcement experience, two years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or three years of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
