Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Patrol Response in Tacoma, WA. You will guard clients, monitor the facility, and provide exceptional customer service while upholding security protocols.

The role requires an armed credential, 21+ age, and at least 1 year of security experience; CPR/First Aid and baton certification are preferred. Full-time schedule with a $33/hour pay rate and diverse shift coverage.

Qualifications

• Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution while following site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and access-control concerns calmly and in accordance with protocols.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor entry points and verify authorized access for visitors and employees.
• Complete activity reports and shift communications accurately and timely.

As an Armed Security Officer supporting a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, maintaining awareness of visitors, employees, and contractors.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in a timely and accurate manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
