Job Description

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, critical situations, and medical facility disturbances in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations and required information to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas, with working environments and conditions varying throughout the location.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with access control procedures, and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations.
• Maintain required reports and documentation related to patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
