Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Portage, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate resources.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorization for entry, and maintain awareness of visitor, employee, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
