Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and professionally.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; assist with directions and escorts as needed.
• Complete detailed reports and communicate with site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders when required.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Operations in New Orleans, LA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and tenants while carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑control protocols, and security‑related policies.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entry points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergency situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established response procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as needed, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete detailed reports and maintain clear communication with site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders when required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
