Job summary

Allied Universal in Houston, TX is seeking a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Texas Level III to protect staff and customers at a busy retail location. The role requires a Texas Level III Armed Certification, a valid driver’s license, and successful background checks.

You will conduct armed patrols, deter threats, complete logs, and respond calmly to incidents per protocol. This full-time post offers daytime scheduling, paid training, and competitive benefits aligned with our security team

Qualifications

• At least three years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least five years of armed security-related experience.
• Valid driver’s license required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Hold a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail grocery location, including sales areas, receiving areas, parking lots, and perimeter locations, as assigned.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, report security-related concerns, and help to deter theft, trespassing, and other unauthorized activity.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and communications with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

As an Armed Security Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and employees. This driving post requires a valid driver's license and Level III Armed Certification.
