Job summary

Allied Universal in Houston, TX is seeking a part-time Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Level Three to safeguard clients across Retail/Malls and other sites. The role requires patrolling, customer service, and a visible presence to deter incidents.

You must hold a Level III Armed Certification in Texas, have a valid driver's license, and be at least 21. The schedule Friday and Saturday mornings, pay rate $22 per hour, and opportunities to grow with the company are available.

Qualifications

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation and drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and coordinate with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location including parking lots and perimeters.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and deter theft, trespassing, and policy violations.
• Carry authorized equipment in accordance with laws and site procedures.

As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. This driving position requires a valid driver's license and Level III Armed Certification. Job Schedule:

• Fri 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail grocery location, including sales areas, receiving areas, parking lots, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, unauthorized access, and potential hazards, helping to deter theft, trespassing, and other policy violations.
• Carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
