Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include law enforcement or military police training or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Armed guard card or license is required.
• College degree required.
• Valid driver''s license required per policy.
• Background check and drug screen are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while conducting security-related procedures and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and public emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures; document visitor activity, incidents, and unusual conditions through accurate reports.
• Maintain readiness to perform assigned armed post duties in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, site procedures, and Allied Universal policies.

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Academy Credentialed in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to developing situations. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 08:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Tue: 08:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Wed: 08:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Thur: 08:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and public emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Possess a college degree.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a corrections officer license.
• Provide a DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
• Possess a law enforcement officer license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
