Job summary

Allied Universal® in Miami, FL is seeking an Armed Patrol Driver/CPO Qualified Security Officer to protect government facilities and other sites. This full-time driving position combines patrols, access control, incident response, and professional customer service, offering a path to grow within a trusted security organization.

You will conduct routine armed patrols, verify credentials, file accurate reports, and coordinate with local agencies when needed.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Certified Protection Officer certification required.
• Armed guard card or license required.
• Must possess a college degree.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and public while carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner; notify appropriate personnel and public service agencies as directed.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and maintain awareness of visitor, vehicle, and employee activity.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs for patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities.

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver CPO Qualified in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service. Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Wed 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and public service agencies as directed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and maintain awareness of visitor, vehicle, and employee activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs for patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program, or equivalent.
• Possess a Certified Protection Officer certification.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Possess a college degree.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Have at least 1 year of prior military experience for Hawaii positions only.
• Provide a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
