Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an armed Security Officer Patrol Driver in Polkton, NC to protect government facilities and staff. The role requires a valid driver’s license, an armed license if applicable, and a strong commitment to safety and service.

You will perform patrols, screen access, respond to incidents, and document activities while providing excellent customer service in a professional security setting.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Armed guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, residents, visitors, and other authorized personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorization as required, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain required documentation, including patrol activity, incident reports, visitor information, and shift communications, in accordance with site-specific procedures.
