Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks an Armed Patrol Security Officer in Los Angeles, CA to safeguard government facilities and provide exceptional customer service.

You will conduct armed patrols, deter incidents, monitor access, respond to alarms, and coordinate with law enforcement as needed. A clean background, armed guard license, and minimum one year of security experience are required.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Armed guard card or license is required.
• For armed roles, candidate must be 21+.
• Background check and drug screen as per law.
• Must be able to pass licensing and training requirements.

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Deterrence in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to site needs. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $26.81 / Hour

• Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site‑specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government facility.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established post orders and notification procedures.
• Monitor access points and screen or direct authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles in accordance with site‑specific requirements.
• Maintain required armed post qualifications, accurately document observations and incidents, and coordinate with law enforcement and emergency personnel as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
