As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter and more .

As an Armed Patrol Officer at this shelter location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry a sidearm while conducting routine patrols and responding to situations as needed. You will interact with staff and visitors, offering exceptional customer service and clear communication. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day	Time
Mon	10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
Thur	10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the shelter and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor the location for unusual activity and report any security-related incidents according to established protocols.
• Assist with access control by verifying identification and granting entry to authorized individuals.
• Maintain detailed logs and reports of daily activities, observations, and any incidents encountered during patrols.
• Collaborate with shelter staff and other personnel to support a secure and welcoming environment for all occupants.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must possess a valid Texas Armed Security Professional License.
• Must be designated and authorized to carry an armed sidearm as required by the position.
• Must have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security experience, or possess a college degree.
• A valid driver’s license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
