Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Riverview, FL to guard healthcare and other facilities. You will perform routine armed patrols, maintain a visible presence, respond to incidents, and deliver quality customer service.

Qualifications

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors while carrying out security procedures, site policies, and emergency responses in a healthcare site.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to identify unusual activity and hazards.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations calmly, coordinating with site contacts and emergency services.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and maintain controlled access to restricted areas and inventory.
• Carry authorized equipment in accordance with laws and site procedures; complete accurate reports and shift documentation.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare purchasing and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and potential hazards.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and public emergency services as needed.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and assist with maintaining controlled access to restricted areas and valuable inventory.
• Carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site procedures; complete accurate reports and shift documentation for incidents and observations.
