Job summary

Allied Universal in Little Rock, AR is seeking a Security Officer Armed Patrol to protect patients, staff and visitors in a hospital environment. You will perform armed patrols, monitor access points, assist with badge checks, and respond to emergencies with professionalism and care.

This is a full-time role with a pay rate of $17.46 per hour and weekly pay. You will support staff and patients across day and night shifts, contributing to a safe, welcoming workplace and a reliable security team.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Protective Officer is required.

• HS diploma or equivalent; background check will be conducted.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Little Rock, AR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will patrol an emergency healthcare location, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and assist staff, visitors, and patients with professionalism and care. This role calls for strong communication, sound judgment, and integrity while working as part of a reliable, agile team dedicated to a welcoming environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a hospital setting.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening, badge verification, and direction-giving while maintaining a professional and respectful presence.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with hospital personnel and first responders as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, patrols, and other security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a current Certified Protection Officer certification.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
