Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Lexington, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will respond professionally to situations, support a welcoming environment for shoppers and staff, and represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture through teamwork and integrity. A concealed carry weapons permit is required.

Pay Rate: $24.60 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out armed security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, exterior areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, policy violations, and potential hazards; document observations and incidents accurately and promptly.
• Maintain professional communication with store personnel, visitors, and responding law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
