Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Patrol Credential Control in Jacksonville, FL. The role involves serving clients across utilities and other sectors, conducting armed patrols, monitoring access, and maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents.

The position is full time with a pay rate of $18.70 per hour. You will work a set daytime schedule and be part of a team that values reliability, integrity, and customer service, with opportunities for growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and critical infrastructure to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized entry attempts or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, incident documentation, and patrol records.
