Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Patrol Security Officer in Gahanna, OH to safeguard clients across retail locations and corporate sites. You will perform regular armed patrols, maintain a visible presence, and deliver excellent customer service while following site procedures and laws.

The role requires a customer-focused background, a high school diploma, and an Armed Guard Card/License (preferred). A background check and drug screen are required as part of employment, with licensing rules

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees at a retail fuel and convenience location.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of the store, pumps, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Monitor access points and observe for suspicious behavior; report observations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required reports and maintain documentation of patrols and security activities.

Pay Rate: $27.60 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 07:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Wed 07:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Thur 07:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Fri 07:00 AM - 05:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees at a retail fuel and convenience location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the store, fuel pumps, parking areas, delivery areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and applicable laws.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for suspicious behavior, theft-related concerns, or other security-related issues; report observations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required reports and maintain accurate documentation of patrols, incidents, and security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• An Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
