Job summary

Allied Universal, Newark, NJ, is hiring a Part Time Security Guard Armed Patrol Operations to safeguard clients across financial institutions and other facilities. The role emphasizes customer service, visibility, and incident response in a dynamic security environment.

You will patrol assigned areas, deter unauthorized activity, verify credentials, and coordinate with site personnel and responders. Prior law enforcement or military police training and an armed guard license are required;

Qualifications

• Graduated from a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
• MUST BE RETIRED LAW ENFORCEMENT WITH RPO.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a financial services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and complete required reports.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures; verify credentials and direct individuals to appropriate locations.
• Maintain professional communication with site personnel, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership while following applicable armed post orders and reporting requirements.
