Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Armed Mobile Patrol Driver in Butner, NC. You will provide security services at a government corrections location, perform regular armed patrols, deter unauthorized activity, and maintain a visible, professional presence.

Qualifications

• Armed guard card/license preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, subject to background investigation.
• A drug screen will be conducted where permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, residents, visitors, and other authorized individuals by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a correctional location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, housing areas, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to controlled areas, verify authorization of individuals entering or leaving the location, and report suspicious activity or policy violations.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrol activities, and security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
