Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed - Hospital Patrol in Lutz, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. You will support patients, visitors, and staff through exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while following site-specific procedures, healthcare facility policies, and emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, requesting additional assistance as needed.
• Carry and maintain authorized equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, applicable laws, licensing requirements, and site procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
