Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while following security procedures and site policies, and assist with emergencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and coordinate with site personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report suspicious conditions, hazards, and policy violations per site procedures.
• Carry and maintain authorized equipment, including firearms, in compliance with laws, training requirements and Allied Universal policies.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, reporting suspicious conditions, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Carry and maintain authorized equipment, including firearms, in accordance with applicable laws, training requirements, and Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
