Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Roanoke, VA. In this role you will protect clients across aerospace/defense facilities, perform armed patrols, manage access control, and respond to incidents with professional communication and service-oriented care.

You will work a full-time schedule with early morning shifts and weekends as required, leveraging smart tools and commitment to safety, integrity, and teamwork to help maintain secure environments for clients and staff.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location while following site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, controlled areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials and authorizations, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report access concerns per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare accurate reports and documentation for patrol observations, incidents, access-related activities, and equipment concerns.

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Roanoke, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and incident response activities. What You'll Do:

• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
