Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Clearance Required in Arlington, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to site needs. You will use strong communication and customer service skills while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that acts with integrity. An active DoD Secret Clearance and armed guard card/license are required.

Pay Rate: $28.33 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points and verify credentials, visitor authorization, and contractor entry requirements in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity documentation, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Handcuffing Certification is preferred.
• Pepper Spray Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
