Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Roanoke, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and incident response activities. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors at an aerospace and defense location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, controlled areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials and authorizations, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report access concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare accurate reports and documentation for patrol observations, incidents, access-related activities, and/or equipment concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
