Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer - Full Time in Orangeburg, SC to protect patients, staff and visitors at a healthcare site. You will patrol assigned areas, monitor access points, and respond to incidents with professionalism and courtesy.

The role requires an armed guard card, at least 6 months of armed security experience, and a valid driver’s license where applicable. This full-time position offers competitive pay ($17/hour) and benefits, with opportunities for training

Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed - Full Time in Orangeburg, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication while responding to security-related concerns with professionalism. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out site‑specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions requiring attention.
• Monitor access points and support visitor management procedures, directing individuals to appropriate hospital services or locations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; request additional assistance and coordinate with appropriate personnel as needed.
• Carry authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal policies; complete accurate incident reports and activity documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Have at least 6 months of armed security‑related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
